This was clearly a standard play for Ivey being an aggressive player. Most comments seem to forget that his opponent limped with a pocket pair, then re-raises. Normally this is a terrible play to make with that kind of hand. It was more likely he had a hand like JT or QJ suited then a strong pair. The commentator's remark that it was a misstep clearly doesn't know what he's talking about.

Ivey just wanted to get out of there clearly, if I know not to shove with A4 there then clearly Ivey knows its a terrible play.
