Hi I did a nasal (deviated septum surgery + turbinate reduction) both in the same procedure one year ago....now I am suffering from my right nasal opening as it is blocked from time to time and from what i see in the mirror , it seems the turbinate is touching my center of the nose which makes it hard to breath.. I just wanna know is it possible for the turbinate to become big again after a surgery ??? I amn't a doctor so i amn't familiar with the exact professional terms.

if the right side of my nose is stuffed up & I lay on my left side I can hear, and feel, popping on the right side of m y nose where it's stuffed & right after that popping it clears up & I can breathe. Then of course the left side may get stuffy & I may then have to lay on my right side etc. what in the world is this? Is the popping & then clearing of the sinus mean mucus or a turbinate????

I should have had this done, if you have a deviated septum they are gonna sucker you to try to get the septoplasty surgery....just get this done...cause they do a turbinate resection when they fix the septum.....and the recovery and pain from turbinate resection is awful.

The turbinate is as long as our index finger. I had this procedure done by a doctor and I feel he did not treat the entire length of the turbinate. I still feel stuffy. I can see the front part has shrunk but not the back.
In this video too, we are only shown the front part of the turbinate being reduced. Note the injection needle is not long enough to treat the entire turbinate. It looks like the coblation wand is not being inserted for the entire length.

Remember to see an allergist before attempting turbinate surgery. Those with nasal or sinus issues are recommended to try neilmed sinurinse for at least 3 months before an considering an operation. A complication called EMPTY NOSE SYNDROME MAY OCCUR AS A RESULT OF SURGERY!!

I would do it as long as it would'nt interfere with the singing.I hate not being able to breath.pills just make it worse nasal strips help a bit but i've dreamed of(when I can sleep) an operation. this is the first I've seen.God bless you Dr.!
@mightyPavan2010 Excellent point... this surgery does NOT cure allergies and symptoms related to allergies would persist even after this procedure.
