  • This story ... the book is amazing... I cried when I read it... I cried when i watched the movie. As a writer you strive for that perfect ending and I think this one was it. I never admit it but ... i never really want to read the happy ending where every ones great and they have babies... I want that pain... I want that loss. This movie and the book are equally beautiful.

  • a good story has nothing to do with happiness...all "good" stories have to do with the portrayal of the human condition--with all of its flaws and beauties--the reality is that we are beings of both light and dark at anytime through our choices; though sometimes our only consequence on earth is our own guilt...i just really disagree with the fact that "good story always has to have a happy ending, definetly not true. if a story had to have happiness to be good, no one would relate to it

Are you sure? I looked up that song and it seems to be a different song from the one in the video.

  • gosh, keira. i love her, such a wonderful actress. and such a beauty!

  • the song is called seasons ono silence by comeback my daughters :)

  • Beautiful video. The song is lovely--what is it?

  • @orlandogirl213 If you're joking, we'd get a long well! If you're not, then someone needs to get out and watch some real tragedy; try reading the paper or subjecting yourself to Requiem For A Dream. Lots of people love tragedy, myself included. Happy endings, on the contrary, are rare, its the sad ones that resonant most deeply with the audience, because we experience it every day! There is something inherently beautiful in sadness that can't exist in happiness! I believe its what we call hope.

  • what is the song used in the video? Absolutely outstanding.

  • @orlandogirl213 They did die, her atonement was that she punished herself her whole life. And at the end she developed a cruel disease when she was ready to tell the truth, a disease that would make her forget....

"i know she had the life she wanted"

yeah right!! she wanted to be with charles grey, he was the man she loved. instead she was stuck with the duke, she was married to the man who RAPED her, cheated on her constantly, and even let one of the women he cheated on her with live with them until she died. **watch the movie.** she did not want that life, i sure as hell would NOT want that life, and i HIGHLY doubt you would either.

yes it IS realistic, IT'S A TRUE STORY.
