Wow, very cool that you had the chance to see the real Curiosity that's going to drive around on Mars from so close up!
The landing system with these cables etc. looks complicated and less robust than the airbag system of Spirit and Opportunity - I hope everything will go well and Curiosity will land on Mars safely.
