"The Lucky One" is a single and track from the 2001 album, "New Favorite", and the 2002 album, "Live", by Alison Krauss & Union Station. The albums were released on Rounder Records and were produced by Alison Krauss & Union Station.
"Live" was recorded in high definition on 29-30 April 2002 at The Louisville Palace in Louisville, Kentucky and is available on DVD from Rounder Records.
"The Lucky One" was written by Robert Lee Castleman. The single was released on Rounder Records and was produced by Alison Krauss & Union Station. "The Lucky One" won the Grammy for "Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal" at the 44th Grammy Awards.

  • Just goes to show that they are so talented, so wonderful, that this sounds as good but probably better than the studio version. She is so sweet, so genuine, and I don't know her. I love her, respect her and thank her for giving me so much joy. I love many songs but specially the one about your Dad, and Broadway. I am a father of 2 daughters and I would love to have just a small amount of what he had. Too much to say...simply wonderful!
