ClassicalRecords is a Youtube channel where I upload some excellent performances from the LPs in my collection. I'm uploading these LPs because they are either not available on CD, out of print on CD, or just difficult to find.
Simply divine

Very happy to hear this again. I grew up with these recordings in the early eighties. They were my introduction to Stravinsky's violiin music. It brings it all back, even that little wrong note, at least accordig to the printed score (an F instead of an E flat) that keeps coming back in the gigue.
Very lovely interpretations, full of youthful energy. Thanks for posting!

No comments on this yet?! Gorgeous rendition by Perlman of one of Stravinsky's most wonderful Neoclassical pieces for violin, and it's the Gigue, my favorite movement of the piece! Definitely holds its own against the italienne suite which is also a beautiful piece, but of course, it can't touch the violin concerto; that's in a league of its own.
