Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy in a patient with Situs Inversus Totalis(S.I.T)

It is a unique kind of operations all over the world,and it is considered as the first operation in palestine and was done at JERICHO hospital by Dr. Ahmad Amro the Head of general surg. Dep.
A female patient 24 yrs old ,a mother has 4 offsprings complaining of L.U.Q pain 2 years ago,and was dicovered acciedntly to have S.I.T. 3 yrs ago and this diagnosis was confirmed by x-ray series and U/S,on admission the lab. tests was within normal values and lap. chole. was performed . It was a difficult but interesting operation, during which dr ahmad found the gall bladder to be severly adherent and a stone was impacted at Hartman's pouch and the cystic artery was located posteriorly.......The operation was successfully done and the post operative period was normal without complications and the patient was discharged within less than 24 hrs.
