  • Go and visit Buchi website and look for the solvent list.

    For hexane, applying a vacuum of 335mbar, you just have to heat up to 60°C !

    why would you set the bath temperature that high? The whole point of a rotary evaporator is to remove some solvent at low pressure and low temperature.

    i'm using it with hexane i noticed that it finishes in less than 15 minutes. i put the bath temperature at 85 because in the manual it says 20 degrees above the solvent boiling temperature. is that right?
