Yoshi's Island 2011 LIVE! (Awesome Games Done Quick) w/ commentary!

This is my segment from the SDA Charity Marathon from January 2011, Awesome Games Done Quick.

I did Yoshi's Island again (did it in January 2010; went terrible; not uploading it) and once again, did an "any%" Single-Segment speedrun, but was taking donations of $10 to do 100% at doner's choice. So final time is irrelevant.

Oh, and BTW AGAIN, I think that at 1:39:54, the game simply crashed due to eventual overuse and sprite lag. Even the GBA port lags when there are too many sprites.

Yeah, I forced myself to stay mellow so I could ignore the pressure. When I became excited, I became nervous too. I realized that last year and tried to work on that.

Also, I was rather tired the entire time? Anyway, working on annotation!

Oh, and BTW, in 4-1 at 1:05:40, I found a way to skip the Baby Mario star :] You may know about it already, but I can make a video if not?

Sure, make a video to demonstrate. I'm sure it's possible to get over the cliff-thing as Yoshi, but what matters is if it's faster than starless Mario ...

I got this game for the GBA port, and after i beat it 100%, I will speedrun levels. Did you know about the secret room in 6-3, and that you can make it to the top of the huge wall in 1-1 without doing the glitch?

I try not to put importance on race. It's 2011, it's time to leave those types of thoughts in the '60's.

Wow dude, way to be a dick. I don't know if you felt you have some sense of entitlement as if you think he's an employee of yours who you can shit on, or if you're just stupid because the whole 100%-ing thing was pretty fucking simple. You kept obsessing about it but he told you he'd remind you to 100% a level when you came to it. Don't be a dick to Rane just because you want to please the viewers.

@trihex: Yeah, that works as a good strategy. I try to keep a face like that too, it impresses my friends to stay so calm when puling an amazing combo.
