X10 Wireless Light Control From PC

Controlling lights using X10 hardware from my PC. Application coded in C# .NET 3.5. The library is 3rd party, but I designed the application. As of now it is limited and console based, but still fun to play with.

I'm looking at building this but I don't have a serial port in my laptop. I'm thinking of USB-Serial - will that work?

Wow. I still dont get how your lights are connected.

@MitchAndBrunie A device is attached to the PC that sends out a wireless signal and the lamp is plugged into a box that receives the signal. It is X10 equipment.
