USA flag waving from the first row of CATALAN independentism. The catalan national anthem was being sung at the moment. Video taken the 2009 march seventh at the historical & massive catalan self-determination expedition to Brussels. One step forward to freedom!.
CATALONIA, THE NEXT INDEPENDENT COUNTRY IN EUROPE.
@elenetta44 oh ¿de verdad? dime algo que no sepa... lo que decía es que Cataluña es española desde que existe España, y eso no me lo podrás negar

A friend of mine was there, and he literally told me "we all were laughing on those catalans". To be honest, catalan nationalism reminds me of nazi nationalism. Nazis hated jewish, and Catalans hate Spaniards. nazis thought Germany was the nest, and catlans think Catalonia is the best. So, for Americans it's clear: America will always support Spain, and will always be against nationalism, such as that one from Catalonia. GOD BLESS USA!

@elenetta44 Dear Elenetta, Catalunya does not pay 16%to Spain, but 7%. So first, please, know what you are talking about. Secondly, California pays federal gobernment taxes way more than Catalunya, and nobody complains here in California. The problem with catalan nationalism is the same than with nazi nationalism. You guys think you are the best, and you think you can lie 100 times and make the truth become a lie.Catalunya has more self-government than California, so please, don't make me laugh.

@temax Imagine that another country tries to impose a language and a culture to you, you can't speak english, you can put your lovely flag in your garden. Then, when you are "free" in a region of that country, they insult your children for being from the United States and your "region" can't do what they need because the 16 per cent of your taxes goes to "whoknowswhere".
Imagine

@elmillor11abel No, in the Basque Country they have three differents "education model" where you can choose between and education just in Basque less the Spanish subject, an education 50%, or an education in Spanish except the Basque signature. So if you have to go Basque Country due to oyur job your children can adapt more easily. In contrast, in Catalonia all the subject are in Catalan except Spanish and English.

@Pablogj444 well, it's true that Galicia and Basque country suffered the war and dictatorship, but in my opinion Catalonia suffered more, because the Generalitat of Catalonia was much more historic that other institutions. The education is in Catalan, Spanish and English at the same time! I'm catalan and in my opinion my english is not excelent, but people like you understand me. And, why people don't complain about the situation in Basque Country, were happens the same with the basque language?

@elmillor11abel Sorry but I disagree with you. Not just the Catalan was forbidden, the languages of other Spanish regions like Galicia, Basque Country... institutions were modificated in all the country and republican people suffered the same violence in the rest of Spain. Your culture is respected, and people complain that education in Catalonia is only in Catalan and Spanish is "discriminated"

@Pablogj444 you have to recognize that Catalonia suffered much more Franco' dictatorship than other regions. I will explain some facts passed during that period: Catalans couldn't speak catalan language, his institutions had been disappeared, republican people were killed or in a prison, etc.... That didn't passed at the other spanish regions! Our culture in Spain, it's not respected by spanish media. We're constantly attacked ( they complain that the education in catalonia includes catalan!!!

@todopor yo a quién no traicionaré es a mis sentimientos! Igual que tú con los tuyos, tengo derecho a mi opinión independentista, o no? O es que sólo se permite una sóla opinión?
