The Avengers (Peel the Reel)

I loved the way this track from the one-off album "Power Themes '90" perfectly captures the playful spirit of the Emma Peel years. It's long been a dream to locate all the dialogue clips used in the mix - something that's only been possible thanks to BBC Four broadcasting The Avengers. Luckily, they all come from the 1967 colour series, which makes for a brighter compilation.

I'm uploading this by way of a protest that for the last four years the British public have been unable to buy one their most famous television series. Since the original DVD release was deleted in 2003, there's been no way to get hold of the Avengers on PAL region 2 discs other than by travelling to France and buying a version with French credits. As Steed says, "No, no no!".
