The final 9 minutes of the 2009 Minnesota Senate when the DFL voted through yet another tax bill, this time with Republican members having literally minutes to read and digest a lengthy and complex tax bill.

  • "Mr. President are there any rules in this Senate?"

That is the most dispicable ending to 5 months of wasted time in Minnesota History!

    Democrats are disgusting!

"No talking during a role call." except by everybody asking that the rules be obeyed but only by Republicans.

Thrusting billions of dollars of tax increases in at the last minute so that there can be no debate and Democrats call that governing.

If you're proud to be a Democrat after seeing this you're ignorant and stupid!

  • This is absolutely ridiculous! How dare the DFL's just do it and not debate the matter! This is disgusting! Go to Jason Lewis on KTLK and join the Tax Party! This is not acceptable!

  • Tom Emmer for Governor!

  • and WHO authorized the rollcall??

  • Lewis for Governor!

  • I always...I always...I always...I always love that one.

  • SD-45's Ann Rest (D) voted yes. We are disappointed in her desire to rush a $2 billion tax grab through the last ten minutes of the session — and will let her constituents know she contributed to a shameful tax grab on Minnesotans.

  • Was there any transparency in the negotiations that the governor insisted be held behind closed doors?

The LCPFP would have welcomed his input at any time... in public and on camera.

  • Why are the democrats always in such a rush to pass big budget bills? Isn't President Obama and his fellow democrats all about transparency??
