Would You Kill to Save A Life? // The Doctor

Cause no one hates the Doctor as much as he hates himself.

This was (obviously) inspired by last week's episode. Just OUCH. UGH. So many emotions. All three of them were so superb with the acting. And it really brought to light the terribly hard decisions that the Doctor has to make all the time. It's amazing that he can be so wonderful, but deep down inside, he hates himself for it.

"Rule 1...the Doctor lies."

Just one question - as i haven't seen all Doctor Who episodes - in which episode does he get married and have kids??

he doesn't actually get married and have kids. That episode is from S3 where he has to make himself human for a while to escape some enemies, and he falls in love with a human, and when he has to decide whether or not to change back into a Time Lord, he kinda has these "flashes" of what his life could be like as a human, with the woman that he liked.

This means something so very deep to me and it totally bares the reason The Girl Who Waited scares and horrifies me . . . the Doctor is so dark, but you portrayed it perfectly, so well - the "kill to save a life" - it's just so him. OH. MY. GOODNESS. This was - I just can't - it's just - WOW. This is the reason the Doctor is a brilliant character! Fanfiction after angsty fanfiction and I don't think I can express what's so amazing and terrible about the Doctor and The Girl Who Waited as well as this vid did. In the episode with the Dreamlord, the Doctor figures out who the Dreamlord is because he's the only person in the universe who hates the Doctor that much. And the Dreamlord is the Doctor. Oh Doctor!
