This is a documentary about G Williams & Sons butchers on Bangor High Street. The film was made by Stephen Cook, Mathew Hughes and Nick Lee for our Media Practice Factual project in Bangor University. The shop has been in business for more than 140 years and we set out to find out how they had managed to stay in business for so long.

The footage was shot with a Canon XL-2 SD Camera in 16:9 PAL on Mini DV cassette with the audio recorded by the camera using a boom mic. The editing was done on Final Cut Express on a 2.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo iMac with 2 GB of Ram.

Filming was done over four days, we had 3 hours of footage which we pored over to get a 5 minute film. This is the second cut of the documentary, the first was deemed no good by our lecturer! This version has also been modified slightly from the version we handed in, it's had some audio level issues fixed, the text at the start cleaned up, and has been digitally remastered in HD.

We would like to thank all the people who let us interview them, even though many of you didn't make it to the final cut because of the five minute limit. And a very special thanks has to go to Caradog and Paul and everyone at the shop for accommodating us with such hospitality, that they made the whole experience a thorough pleasure.
