On Aug. 23, Sgt. David Burchett and deputy Barrett Elwood of the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office shot AR-15 assault rifles at a bulletproof SUV as a preview to the Food Lion AutoFair at Charlotte Motor Speedway Aug. 25-28. The fully-armored 2011 suburban was supplied by international armored vehicle company Streit Manufacturing, which has a facility in Charleston, S.C. The company's products will be on display in the Showcase Garage this weekend.
@MRUTOOBUZR The AR-15 is not an assault rifle. Just because it's black, modular, and looks similar to the guns in the military doesn't make it any different from a semi auto M14. Just call it a AR-15 rifle. You scare gun control people every time you use that term.
