As a Rangers fan it was hard finding out he had died, this summer has been very tragic, losing him, Karel Rachunek, Alexander Karpovtsev, and many other players really made this summer the most tragic in NHL history. RIP BOOGAARD AND ALL OTHERS WHO HAVE BEEN LOST

I saw this live on TV and cheered out loud. I am a big fan of all enforcers who do their difficult job no matter what team they play for. I will miss watching Derek Boogaard. A tremendous loss for his fans and the NHL.
