Broadband over power lines (BPL) causing interference on a radio.
Update: Yes, the file transfer is causing interference. That was the whole point of the video.

    The radio is still king when the internet fails. In fact , the internet would not exist as we know it WITHOUT radio.

    YOU have a COMPUTER. You can THANK radio for that.

    If you didn't realize that until now, we can probably thank the public school cartel.

    Radio - Activity !!

    File transfer happens at a transfer rate or frequency, this new operating frequency is audible as interference (like when a mobile phone makes an audio system go beep beep beep like a radar).. Note, it does not stop once the lights are switched off it only becomes attenuated.. Once file transfer is complete the interference will stop.
