Supporting Women, Infants, & Children

6/14/2011 As the House floor considered a bill that would throw up to 350,000 Americans off the Women, Infants & Children food program, Congressman Garamendi voiced support for women, infants, & children having access to food. He also expressed support for food safety. In doing so, he invoked FDR's immortal words that "the test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little."
