It was 35 degrees-the machine had just started up, water was still condensing after letting the steam run through the cylinder for a while-I didn't want the last run of the season to result in hammering the piston- nothing wrong with letting some steam out of the cocks till it's fully warmed up-When I am backing the Peerless up(while snow is falling)in a different video if you listen you can hear water starting to come out the stack and I open up the cylinder cocks to let the water out.
ahh, ok. thanks. i just wasn't sure on how long the engine was running before that. but i can see your reasoning, very wise.

why do you still have the cylinder drain cocks open? how long was the engine running before you started filming? good video. love the tractor
