One of my favorite records in my collection.
I have put words on the video for my deaf and hard of hearing friends. Enjoy!
Jon and Sondra Steele sing "My Happiness" on Damon Records from 1947.
A very "well played" record on a Dual CS-5000 turntable.

  • Thanks! A great record, though the only charted hit they ever had.

  • @sszushi Yes this song & the flip side only appeared on 78 in 1948, but "My happiness" was released on Coral 65516 Silver Star Series (reissue lable) sometime in 1970's.

  • Wow! Haven't heard this one in ages! My dad had this on 78; we played it years ago at home. Wasn't too worn out, even.

  • I don't think this record was ever reissued on 45 or LP, and it is very hard to find on CD despite being one of the biggest selling records of 1948. And now it's on the 'net! BTW, every copy I've heard is pretty worn, owing to the song's popularity and/or poor quality of shellac. Thanks for posting.

  • Yes, please post the B-side, "They All Recorded to Beat the Ban", a great song...

  • Just wonderful!!! You should post the flip side "Little Ceasar' as well, it was a cult classic. 5***** Made my whole day!
