Ppl who take canary training seriously put them in small cages with a teacher-canary or a tape to teach them to sing in preparation for a competition.
In your case, maybe you should simply consider to place your canary in a cage of his own. but consider that he might be having more fun when he is with other birds. according to Goetschel for instance it is illegal to keep canaries alone in switzerland.

Wow, neat sounding "roll".
I never heard of training cages. I guess I'll have to investigate that. My male canary hasn't really sung since I got him for Valentine's day, although he was singing like crazy at the pet store with about 5 other male canaries in the same cage.
He lives in a large cage w/ a male house finch, and another male canary I just rescued a few days ago. They all get free play in a sunny box window every day.
Anyone care to explain the use of "training cages"? Thanks!

here we have a JEW , shouting at everybody because he'd seen a canary in a cage, when his own generation is slaughtering people with cluster bombs . Please try to be creative , for criticism to be creative, one cannot be biased to one side or the other .
A captive bred animal does not exist in nature coz he cannot hunt for food. I'm sorry to burst ur bubble , but your canary died 2 days after he escaped

Actually that is a training cage, he doesn't live 24-7 in that cage, people who show canaries use those cages to teach their canaries how to sing and sing on cue. That bird looks healthy and happy and obviously a young bird just by his song.

he would die in just 2 days if let out of his cage?? you have no idea...one of my canarys escaped and saw him 3 months later he was still alive!!!you sir sure talk out of your arse...
