Well it's a good start. With the actual very slow progress in GPU base ($500 fucking bucks for 10FPS increase) , i wont be surprised if in the not to distant future, one of these could at least match the power of an 8800GTX. If not already!!!!

I use my PC for Gaming and Browsing and there is no way Sandy Bridge CPUs will offer enough performance increase in those two applications to justify the price tag of a new motherboard and a new CPU. One of it's biggest new features, the integrated GPU is useless for me also since I doubt it will match the performance of my GTX 460. I'll wait for full support for USB3/SATA3 and maybe PCIe3. I'll wait for a more dramatic performance increase, maybe Ivy Bridge. BTW before getting my i7 I used a P4
wait so Sandy bridge is a replacement for the Nahelem architecture?
then what about Bloomfield, i mean when they are saying about their previous generations chipsets, are they talking about LGA 1156 or LGA 1366?

@MrSuckmyballs32 Bloomfield is based on Nehalem. Sandy Bridge ends up faster than most Bloomfield-based CPUs, yes.
