A film about happiness by Will Bishop Stephens made in collaboration with lots of children and families.
A booklet inside the DVD was also created by illustrator Chris Rainbow making a lovely package. This text is from the booklet.
"This film has been created by families in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames participating in a series of events at Orleans House Gallery. Working with animator Will Bishop-Stephens and illustrator Christopher Rainbow, families considered the question What Makes Me Happy?
The aim of the project was to promote the importance of looking after your well-being and mental health.
Families discussed the moments, activities, places and people that have made them feel happy, as well as the very subjective notion of what it can fell like to feel happy.
Running though the film is the journey of a character exploring a make-believe place called 'Happyland' and the challenges encountered on the way.
Thanks to all the families that took part in the project, sharing their thoughts with us to create a film and booklet for other families to use and enjoy. Thanks to Richmond upon Thames Family Learning Fund and Richmond Parish Lands charity for funding the project."
