Too good..I dont need such good deck..I can just put 4X4 as under ssupport direct on the dirt with a little sand and nail my decking on it.

Is the framing pressure treated? Doesn't look like it?!?! If not it's going to rot

The framing is pressure treated, but with one of the CCA alternatives, which gives the wood a reddish cast and not the green color.

The stairs do not look like they are supported by anything. They look like they are attached at the joist and free floating out in front. How will they be supported?

@lunatunes2 The stairs are suspended by 1-inch steel galvanized steel. They extend under the frame of the deck as a cantilever for support.. It sure beat pouring a pad or digging more footings. The inspector said, "clever." They are quite stable.

This looks sweet! Are the stairs attached to the joists or are they sitting on top of something? Great job.

@AJBurtonOperator Thank you for your comments. I should update this as it is now done (except now my wife wants me to add a hot tub.
