PPD is a documented medical condition. Yes she has to be susceptible to help in order to get better, but it's not a figment of her imagination.

So are you saying the pills are useless as long as she is denial about her PPD, because I would agree with you if that is the case. What I disagree with you about is whether PPD is real or not. Medication does help with people with depression and there shouldn't be a stigma to it simply because other choose not to believe in it.

Why would you say something like this? Postpartum depression is real and many women who have suffered from it have gotten better after taking medication. I can understand why some may not believe in these types of illnesses, but please don't undermine them or make people feel ashamed. I don't think you comprehend what attitudes like these can lead to.

PPD is a real illness, it is not made up to make mothers who don't want their children feel better. It is also serious to some woman & medicene is sometimes needed.
