Ive had 1 for 4 years on nowt but tap water so there strong not delacate also if they evolved to have mouths then obviously they've evolved to use different water!

Ive had my fly trap for 30 days now and I have given it tap water every day and it is very healthy. Australian tap water has chlorine, fluoride and many other chemicals in it. I dont have it soaking in water the same way he does although I plan on putting it in a bucket of water for a day or 2 every few months. I dont think you need to be as worried as he makes out about how you water it

@yizak2 NO! your plant will die alot quicker you'll need distilled water you can get it from wal-mart for dirt cheap =P

Depends on the kind of water. If you use bottled water you CANT use it on your plant because it has minerals that you need but that the plant doesnt, so, if you give it bottled water, it will die. Tap water can be used but you have to leave it 48 hours ( 2 Days ) on a pot so the chlore evaporates.
