@goliac492 Humans may be harming the earth in many ways, but regulated hunting like this is NOT one of them. We hunters purchase licenses and permits. That money goes toward NATURE CONSERVATION to ensure that we continue to HAVE wild places for animals. In fact HUNTERS contribute FAR more to nature and wildlife than many so-called "animal rights" activists. We hunters are NOT the monsters that ignorant people make us out to be.
@sunaJH That's correct. Many areas that don't allow hunting have an overabundance of animals creating problems. Their taxes pay for a service that hunting would provide for free. Not only that, but a fact that the anti-hunting crowd doesn't know, or refuses to acknowledge, is that hunters pay license fees to hunt. Money from those fees support conservation efforts which ensure that we continue to HAVE wildlife, in places where they can flourish. Parks, state forests, wildlife sanctuaries, etc.
@wierdwesterner (continued) Furthermore, you're from Europe, and this is a regional issue of the southern United States. It's something you couldn't possibly have an accurate understanding of, yet you pass condescending judgement, worn out stereotypes, and hatred when you don't have a clue of the subject. It shows that you're ignorant, stupid, childish, and pathetic. Grow up, and stick to commenting on subjects you actually KNOW.
@wierdwesterner (continued) Humans intervene with nature all the time, both for our benefit and that of wildlife and the environment, and hunting is such an example. Our wildlife biologists gather and analyse alligator population data through hands-on field research, counting eggs at nesting sites, often with a FIERCELY protective mother nearby. This data is what's used to determine the population and appropriate hunting limits imposed by the law. It's a system that WORKS. (continued)

Man creates God. Man thinks he's God. Man destroys Nature because God tells him he can. Officially, man is either inherently crazy or simply evil.

Hunting IS game management, and it is required to keep populations healthy,
in places where they outlaw hunting the job simply falls to a State Hunter who gets paid at taxpayer expense to do the same thing
