Mandatory ABS on Motorcycles?

Based on findings that antilocks significantly reduce motorcycle crashes, including fatal ones by more than a third, the Institute is seeking a federal requirement that manufacturers equip all new motorcycles with this technology.

I would agree, Most people, Would not hit there breaks so hard in water like that, But there are road conditions at times, That even a very experienced rider, Can't control easy, Like in a area of black ice on a curve, Or on a road, That it just starts to rain on, After a long time of no rain. So it could be helpful to have ABS, Even for the best riders. Because there are no perfect machines, With or without ABS brakes.

I would gladly accept a significant insurance reduction for a bike with ABS. Those that refuse ABS could pay for the increased risk as they should.

the person with no ABS bike is doing it wrong. I think ABS is not so necessary in bikes

ABS should not be mandatory if anyone feels he doesn't want ABS on his bike well why should he.

If you must just make people aware of the need of ABS let them decide when they buy a new bike if the wan't ABS on it.
