CLEBER LUCIANO LOSES MATCH AFTER REFUSING TO CONTINUE DUE TO
BAD REFEREE CALL......

I was at this match in Las Vegas and was not aware that I actually had video of this controversal
decision. In this match Cleber Luciano is angered by the referee's decision to award 3 points to
a Cobra Kai fighter in their CHAMPIONSHIP match. If you watch the video it is clear that the fighter
never had control when the referee holds up his hand awarding points.

I have known Cleber for a couple years and he has always been very professional both in and out of
his academy. His tournaments are always top notch as is his school and his fighters, I was very happy
when I saw this video and able to post it here on youtube.

There was alot of things going on that day at the UFC sponsored Grapplers Quest and what added to
the controversy was the ability of Cobra Kai coach Marc Laimon being able to freely roam around the
mat areas barking out points and rules to referee's actively doing matches.

  • MAN UP! get your ass back on the mat!

  • I guess you can add Cleber to the list of Brazilians who hate Laimon. lol

  • Everybody gets a shitty call aginst them once in a while.. But quitting is never an option,

  • he sat. 2 points

  • the ref killed the match, thats a no contest, not a loss.

  • The issue was not one of control here. Cleber seems to be unaware that even in CBJJ, a guard pass can be performed if the opponent is on his side, back or facing down. But, the Grapplers Quest rules specify that the guard passer must 'clear arms and legs'. The top man is keeping his right arm between Cleber's legs for control, and that is why it should be advantage only. Honest mistake, but Cleber deserves a DQ if he refuses to continue.
