  • Sorry for the seriously n00b question Jared -- what does the hole in your bass drum head do? I can see it makes it easier to change the muffling, but what does it do to the sound?

    Also @missystu, stfu.

  • @miketwo345 The hole allows for more air to flow out of the bass drum which will change the sound of the drum. It's also great for engineers so they can mic it up.

  • isn't that drum gum just celotape? Sticky on one side and not sticky on the other?

  • @xSlipknotTomx Pretty much. This is probably a little gummier then cello tape though.

  • how did you get endorsed by evans drum heads!! i wanna try i need help!!!:O

  • @TonyOnDrums92 I emailed them and asked them for an endorsement. Since I have an audience of drummers who follow my videos they agreed.

  • @missystu My Youtube channels have over 30 million combined views and over 70,000 subscribers. I don't think I could achieve that if I was explaining things in a way people didn't understand. So like I said, I thank you for your comments, but you severely lack credibility in this situation. Instead of sitting at your computer and attempting to bully other drummers I recommend you put your money where you mouth is and film some video lessons. If they're good I'll give you credit.

  • @missystu sorry, i think this might actually be my first insulting comment on youtube, but you sir are an asshole

  • Those wrinkles at the end were bothering me

Also does it help a lot to match batter/resonant Tom pitches? Other sites say that. How well does it work?

  • i have a gretsh catalina ash and cant find the muffle i want. should i just buy evan heads? and get rid of my gretsh heads?

  • Wat is that evans pillow thing

  • @wannabeers Try using Pro Mark Hot Rods. You get the same responsive feel that you get with drum sticks, but the sound levels are way lower :) hope this helps

  • how big is your bassdrum?

  • Whats the song at the start? Plz I really want to know >.< thanks

  • I've got a small concert coming up next month, we're gunna cover Listen by Beyonce. There's gunna be a drummer (me), vocalist and pianist. But my drum by itself is waaaaaaaaaaaay too loud and I need to muffle it very very very hard. I've already mufled my toms, snare and bass, but i can't find a way to properly muffle my cymbals. I just know you guys can help! :)
