The Red Wings just make great teams look like bad teams. They totally embarrassed the Flyers in 1997, and did the same to the Caps. Then did it again to the Canes in 2002.

I've heard the guy who invented the Fox Trax glow puck went to my high school. (University Liggett)
According to Wikipedia, this was the last game to use it. But I thought Fox ditched it before either Red Wings cup run.
It was nice to see how fast a shot was and would be invaluable to determine if the puck crossed the line under a pile of bodies but it shouldn't have been used for the main game camera during live action.

@WingsFights I thought the glow puck was bad ass. IDK why everyone hated it... it helped out alot keeping track of the puck. but now with HD i guess we dont need it

@WingsFights how could you like the glow puck its hockey sacrilege!!!! Canadians made so much fun of it they stop using it.. that and it was expensive. :) there was a commercial in canada making fun of it called sacrilege moments in canada.

joey juneau was cursed, lost with wash and goes to buffalo the next yr...same result but at least won 2 finals games

It seemed like US television was higher quality than Canada's at the time. Yet the Canadians didn't need special effects to see the puck.
