  • kurt is an amazing poet and when he performs...forget about it...the room is

transformed.i saw him first in the adirondack mountains back in the late 80's...

that small town never saw the likes of such a magical storyteller ...a master of

    improv...soulful and gifted.....june moon

  • He came to my school for a reading back in September, it was amazing. I would love to see him again sometime, although my guess is it wouldn't be a group of 30 people again if I got that chance, probably more like the size of the group in this video.

  • "robbed a bank, robbed the hell out of that bank!"

  • very good

  • :-D

  • two great poems

  • What a wonderful reading. he is great and I agree Jump Mama is wonderful!!!

  • Thanks so much for posting this. Hope a full Lamkin video is toward the top of your priorities list, particularly including the "Jump, Mama" jumprope poem and others from the high-school morning session. Lamkin is harder to find videos of than some of the others, yet is best appreciated in performance, so I'll keep fingers crossed. Thanks for creating this channel -- and the festival.
