We've been attending this independent film festival for the last 4 years. It was another wonderful presentation for the 9th annual gathering in Birmingham, Alabama. We watched films the entire weekend and only took a break Saturday evening to watch Auburn defeat Florida in the Swamp!
Special thanks to all the filmmakers and crew that we got to hang out with. I'd like to give special consideration to a few very fine films including the travel oriented "Last Stop for Paul" and the dark comedy "World of Sound."
A lot of shots in this video are of the majestic Alabama Theater, but most of the venues are represented including the Carver Theater, Alabama Power, the Harbert Center, and the Birmingham Museum of Art. I especially liked the Sidewalk Cafe in the costume store, where I captured the angel pirouette.
Music: David Bowie, Sound & Vision
Chicago in the 60's I 'd go to the festival at the Biograph which was a dump compared to the Alabama Theatre. That fest is still going on, I think. Problem is i want to see 3 different things at the same time/ hard to pick/lost opportunities as so much was attractive. The Jazz fest simultaneously was great also. Thanks for your clip.
