  • In studing LimaLama 45 yrs. ago you were taught on how dangerous this art is. This sense comes from the teachings of GM Tino. Tino was fearless, he was not afraid of any man. This made him very dangerous and that is why Ed Parker had Tino in his corner. The other 5 men who started LimaLama were made of the same warrior mold, they were just as dangerous because of no fear. We were taught to be dangerous but with limitations. .

  • @jadgjfrv QUE BIEN, MG TINO PRACTICO MUCHO EL BOX AMATEUR EN LA MARINA DE EU, POR ESO K HACE MUCHO ENFASIS DE COMO BLOQUEAR GOLPES DE BOX....SUERTE!!

  • @unicoestilo, I beg to differ. I am a fourth of Lima Lama generation black belt - also black in Kenpo, and certified as an instructor in Muay Thai and Kapaloa. Have also studied Si Lum Kung Fu and Krav Maga. In order to understand the movements, you would have to immerse yourself in this system. There is a flow to the open hands movement that is not fully translated in this video (Tino is basically just playing around), and is unbelievably devastating, as well as practical. .

  • @Cyclonus21 I have heard the name, please tell your Uncle I said aloha and it would be great if he contacted me vial email, perhaps even share a beer one day with me. Be safe.

  • @unicoestilo I agree with your statement, working as a DOC officer is not only difficult but stressful also, I know I wouldnt make that my career, I just put them in prison. I did not mean to sound as if you did not do your job by allowing weapons to be made, we all know convicts have all the time in the world to plan and do bad things. The video you saw is obviously only a part of Limalama, there are other areas that address other needs. Be safe.

  • @aussie4tiloa It's one thing to teach LEO's and another to work in a correctional setting. The truth is that no matter how well you do your job, inmates will make weapons, period. My point is that the prearranged moves you see in this video do not work. They look nice, but that's it. There are other systems that address these types of attacks more practically.

  • @aussie4tiloa George Gary Eanes. I guess he was a student of Tino back when he lived in Cali.
