  • Vince Carter should have definitely been #1. We all love MJ and he is the greatest player, but i don't understand how he was the greatest dunker. Vince by far outstripped him when it comes to dunking.

  • I can name 10 VC dunks that we never seen another player did, and probably not capable to do.

  • umm mj was the greatest player of all time but not best dunker of all time..any body can posterize a dude but takes a real person to pull off unthinkable dunks like vinsanity

  • @vasileicedog123 He seems really motivated this year.

  • VC is easily number #1. I mean, if you understand anything from basketball at all you know it's not even close. If you ask the top so called dunkers they will all agree.

  • @zackjr you're right, stupid isn't the right word, but like we're pretty much both agreeing upon it's all subjective and comes down to personal preference. My fav. dunker is VC, his dunk against the Pacers his rookie season is what got me not he bandwagon, double pump reverse dunk on the baseline in traffic. Vinsanity was born. I don't think he could do the FT dunk as nice as MJ, although I've seen vids of him doing it.MJ revolutionized the game, as well as finishing, without MJ there's no VC

  • @SFO14 ... allright, so. ! But i dont think its stupid to debate this. But allright. U prefer the powerforce i prefer the grace.

  • @zackjr that's why it's pretty stupid of us to debate this b/c it's all so subjective. You prefer MJ, I prefer VC (as far as dunking goes). I love me some MJ clips though, he had ridiculous athleticism, power, all that good stuff. But VC back in the day just dunked it w/ such ferocity, and he also had style and did stuff in games you've never seen before. It was just insane to see and you couldn't believe that he'd do certain things (windmill/360 in traffic) but to each his own.

  • @SFO14 ... i was just arguing against those specific arguings from you. If Carter did that, Jordan could do that too. But i admit that in some situations Carter had advantage. And those advantages are not easily to show, to write about. Its hard to explain why i prefer Jordan .. because its a subjective reason. I like jordan because his dunkings had more style, grace and were against better teams and players (and in more complex situations, as importants playoffs).

  • @zackjr Yes, Carter was playing against France, b/c they were in the OLYMPICS, and Weiss was supposed to go to the NBA until the league saw this clip.

I love MJ, he's the GOAT, but VC has got him in this category. I'm usually open to debate, I'm not THAT stubborn but on this issue I don't budge. VC = greatest NBA dunker of all time.

VC has climbed Mount Mutombo, he's dunked on David Robinson, not sure he would've had the chance to get The Dream, he got 'Zo, along w/ everyone else.

  • @SFO14

01 - MJ didn't jump over WEISS because he didn't have oportunity to do that (because he could do that easily). Weiss just bow a little when saw VC comming. Carter was playing agains't France, a non-NBA player, a tall but really much slower player.

    02 - Are u kidding me.

03 - MJ has shit on everyone, except a yourger SHAQ, including Robinson, Ewing, Olajuwon and Mutombo. If u want that, even Lebron is bettar than Carter in it.

  • @MultiScienceMan ... for sure. !! and comparing inovations, few can compare with Jordan, Dr J and ... ( one forgotten great ) Elgin Baylor, a really revolutionary player. The first modern dunker. Of course his dunkings were primal, but ... at that time it was really greater than Carter at his time. And when i say style, i mean Connie Hawkins, for exemplo, that could be much more stylist with a simple dunking than carter breaking the hoop.
