The Japanese samurai sword will always be a far more impressive weapon then a gun..also its simply cooler as well.

heh kind of a funy story behind this, there was supposed to be a fight scene here, but Harrison Ford was sick that day. They wanted to keep shooting on schedule so Harrison said why don't we just have Indiana Jones shoot the guy? Turned out to be one of the best scenes of the movie!
