More at http://umns.umc.org - Ada and Bob Lower lost their home when Minot, North Dakota flooded in June. Their church, Faith United Methodist Church, was submerged and its food pantry was destroyed. Still the Lowers found a way to feed the hungry. They started operating out of a trailer and are thankful to carry on because people need them "now more than ever." The former missionaries say God prepared them for this challenge. "God didn't put us on the military road, moving a lot, (and) he didn't put us on the reservation where we slept on air mattresses for six years for nothing," Ada says. "I just love to watch him at work, and I really wish everybody could see God at work." If you'd like to help, contact the United Methodist Committee on Relief, at 1-800-UMC-GBGM.

  • What a great story... it's a good reminder that a church isn't the building, it's the people. Hang in there, People of Faith UMC!
