This shot is assembled from the International Space Station night image sequence images ISS028-E-33150.jpg through ISS028-E-33676.jpg; August 19, 2011 from 08:56:00 to 09:22:18 GMT

I was creating shots from the image sequence and noticed that another satellite seems to have been caught as it passed by! ufoguy1962 suggests that this is an Iridium flare.

The shot without the text superimposed is in my video "International Space Station view of NW US with 3 different camera moves".

  • Thanks ufoguy! I was thinking it had to be a glint off a flat part of a satellite. I hadn't heard of Iridium flares before.
