2012 Google I/O Keynote - Google Nexus 7 Tablet Announcement (HD, June 27th, 2012)

Nexus 7 at Google I/O 2012 - This is the presentation video from the 2012 Google I/O keynote, where Google announced they will be releasing a new tablet, called the Nexus 7. The Google Nexus 7 will be manufactured by Asus, has a 7" screen with 1280 x 800 resolution, and will use a Tegra 3 processor. The device will cost $199, is available to order today through the Google Play store, and will ship in July.

This demo video is just the portion of the keynote where the Nexus 7 tablet was announced. I will be uploading the entire first half of the keynote (where the Nexus Q was also announced) as soon as it is done processing.

You know what is getting old? These Apple vs MS vs Google vs etc bickering. Why be loyal to any brand? Just get the one that serves your wants and needs the best. Why even defend/justify products of a billion dollar company that only cares about your money. Google Play can't compete with iTunes. I have a Nexus 7 and I don't even have most of those apps like movies, magazines, books, widgets, only because it's not available in my country. I bought this for those and I'm not getting it. It's been a year since this i/o and I hope they will update it in this year's i/o.

Oh, it is a gaming device, it's just developers are too lazy to optimise their games for android, and that's often what causes lag.

Okay that is true, but its definitely not a gaming device which makes me sad...

It lags because the app is not optimized for the Nexus 7, or it's an iOS port and not optimized for android at all. Even if you ran a supercomputer with android running it, there would still be dropped frames because it's not optimized.

I love my Nexus 7 but one thing is wrong. If the CPU and GPU is that powerful to have like 16 cores total WHY DOES ASHPHALT 7 LAG SO MUCH? Dropped frames and laggy interface on the game is a big turn off especially when my 1st gen iPad plays it better.
