Based on a true story. After graduating from Emory University in 1992, top student and athlete Christopher McCandless (Emile Hirsch) abandoned his possessions, gave his entire $24,000 savings account to charity and hitchhiked to Alaska to live in the wilderness. Along the way, Christopher encounters a series of characters who shape his life.

I am Italian and Italian folk music in general do not play with these tools. In addition there is to say that, at least in Italy, has monopolized the music from radio and TV that do not pass this kind of music, a little 'more sophisticated and less popular.

What does european mean in your case? I´m finnish and everybody likes folk, and especially young people are learning to play ukulel, banjo and guitars. I think at least here, Sweden and UK folk music is really popular. And I loved this film.
