Better listen to the original song. This is so sad for me. R.I.P Shannon.

@pigjubby1its human nature to want more

This guy was pretty talented, I've definitely heard better, but his true talent was abusing drugs. I know that's sad to say, but he realished that rock star lifestyle and indulged on just about any drug he could get his hands on. Watch VH1 Behind the Music - Blind Melon. He was on a collision course with death. Sucks for his daughter.

Before this man was ever conceived, the world knew of the dangers of drug use, and why is anyone surprised? True, Christianity is not for everyone, that is why hell will be so full. God loves this man as much as anyone, unfortunately he didn't love himself enough to feel god about himself. What a waste and what a shame. A job playing music, traveling and having the world at your feet and that wasn't enough?

Great song, but yea a little depressing knowing he would die soon after.

This is actually really depressing.

@GojiraFFP actually you are only required to believe that jesus christ is the son of god and died to save humanity (depending upon sects). my point is dont say things like that... thats the same thing as me saying that if you do drugs you WILL die... theres always the "other" side of the fence man. just pointing out that your statement is hypocritical. you just did the same thing to Christians that the other guy did to stoners.

yeah but he sounded fucking great GREAT !!!

@massivebig1 He died less than a month after this video was taken. He looked pretty sick here.

@nottheduck1 Recovery isn't always needed. I'm not trying to make drugs out to be less dangerous than they are, but not everyone gets hooked and overdoses. And while I don't entirely know what his attitude was towards the end of his life, Shanon Hoon caused more good than he did bad. Christianity isn't for everyone. You have to do a lot of believing in things that don't exist and thinking you're superior to people with other beliefs. I'd say the love Shanon preached was a lot more universal.
