EBAY LINK: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280198044992 .This is a Nintendo DS modded to look like a Nintendo 64 made by me, the not-yet-famous modder Palmer Luckey (AKA, palmertech). It has had Hori screen protectors on it since it was opened. The lower screen has been replaced with a brighter Sharp brand aftermarket screen. It will be put on Ebay on the day of Super Bowl 2008, With 20% the proceeds going to child's play charity. Search:"N64 DS Mod". If the bidding goes above $185, i will also include my custom Pokemon Ruby cartridge, which lights up from the inside. The DS is not painted, it is solid colored plastic, so there is not any paint to chip off, unlike other DS mods. The N64 logo is lit by yellow, white and blue LEDs. They look really bright in the video, but they are actually fairly moderate. If you want to ask me something, put it in the comments. I will be checking them. If you want to buy it before the auction, please email me at: palmertech@gmail(dot)com. My site will have tutorials on all my projects, however it is not up as of this post. When it is up, it will be: vgmods.googlepages.com (EDIT: it is now up, but not complete.)
By the way, the gameboy color was my first lame attempt at a case mod many years ago. i put it in to show how far i have come. IMPOTANT EDIT: I am changing the percentage donated. Due to the way eBay's MissionFish automatic donation guarantee works, Instead of 50% of the profits going to child's play charity, i will donate 20% of the final price. Sorry for the mistake.

  • I Think you should have made the Select Button green, and the Start button Blue, so the colors of A and B get a place too. :)

  • @IRGEMINIMAN The start and select buttons are green and blue. :)

  • Could you do A NES one for a dsi XL?

  • @spierfan100 Yes, I could.

  • @palmerluckey for how much? (not including the DS)

  • @spierfan100 Depends on what kind of detailing work you had in mind. Would you be providing the DSi XL, or would you just pay me the cost of one? Not including the DSi XL, $150 to $200 minimum.

  • @Volcaus How am I a scammer? Obviously the parts do not cost much, it is all the time it takes. How much do you think a painting costs in materials? Not much! It is all the planning and time spent making a final product that looks good. If someone wants to pay for that, great! If not, then that makes sense, too.

  • can it breakdance?

  • why not just buy an n64? :D lol jk ur ds is amzing !!!

  • is he the sixty foaaaaaar kid ?

  • @ThatGreekKid The thing is, I really don't need to. Type "Case Mod" on Google - this is hardly even a mod, I bet under the sticker those holes aren't even cut properly - just dug out with a screwdriver or scalple.

  • @Spookidoodles Make one of these, post it on youtube, and then you can talk.

  • 44 people have never played an N64. </3

  • awsome mod :D

  • People - calm down. I just don't understand...hes literally painted the buttons and outer case, then put some LED's inside it. Oh, and lets not forget slapping the sticker on the front. It would cost you like 5 bucks to do the mod, and getting hold of the old model DS is surely cheap as hell too.

  • How long did this take you to make?

  • were do the n64 carts go if it can only play super mario 64 then its a waste of time

  • Hahaha nice starwars pyjama xD love the mod, wish i could do that :(
