"Fridays" wasn't that good when it came to comedy (although it did give us Larry David and a few "Seinfeld" alumnus). But the musical talent was fantastic. What other show can you think of that would have Gregory Hines one week and the next week, The Plasmatics?

@Louisboo Thx a mill! This shows exactly why I fell in love w/ him, seeing him perform from around -79 in NYC. Hope to raise awareness to the fact that one of the best musicals on Broadway around that time, Eubie, has been taped w/ the fantastic original cast, but probably due to financial shortage, not been released. It just has to be done, as an homage to Gregory Hines if nothing else. Thx again! If you have more tapes to upload, plse do!
how is this funny? he was one of the world's best tap dancers

Fantabulous! I met him @ 1988. He was staying at a hotel in La Quinta, California (near Palm Springs)When he arrived in his limo, I opened his door and greeted him with "Welcome to Hell. The Hell's Angels will assist to the left, through the double-doors" (Temp. was 126 degrees that day!!!) He laughed & commmented on working in "hell" then TAPDANCED through the foyer, to the registration desk. It was an unbelievable privilege to witness such raw talent. He was a delightful, wonderful person.
