Follow the story of Chutney the chimp as he and his beautiful tree help to spread colour and happiness throughout the town.

"Chimpanzees, this town is dead. These streets are all the same. Let's celebrate our differences. Let's make it fun again! Let's make our houses colourful. Let's pull our fences down. And, while we're at it, Why not change its name to Happytown!"

Following last year's sell-out tour of Little Red Riding Hood, Ensemble 360 and Polly Ives present this brand new piece for 2 -- 7 year olds.

Music in the Round's Children's Composer in Residence Paul Rissmann has written this imaginative and inspirational piece based on the children's book, The Chimpanzees of Happytown by Giles Andreae, illustrated by Guy Parker-Rees and published by Orchard Books. With projections of the images from the book and lots of audience participation, this concert is ideal for engaging young children in high quality music, as well as firing up their imaginations.
