I made a camera tripod mount for my motorcycle handle bar using a PVC "T" connector cut in half, a threaded end cap, a 1/4" bolt, and rubber hose for padding all fastened to the bar using hose clamps. I attached my Canon PowerShot SD550 and shot this video of my neighborhood.

  • Would like to see a video of how to make this camera mount!

  • Done!

  • Nice. Minimal to no vibration. I'm going to try a setup like that. My only recommendation is put some foam or something over the mic. Might help to lessen the wind noise. What kind of bike?

  • Thanks for the kind words. I should post a video of how it was made and how to install. The vibration was taken care of by rubber hose tubes split in half wrapped around the handle bar under the PVC "T" pipe. I had someone else recommend to me using a swatch of pantyhose over the mic to lessen the wind noise. I was riding a Suzuki DR-Z 400S at speeds less than 40 MPH.

  • Did you mount it over the windshield or behind? I'm going to try and make myself one of these for my Bloggie because it's kind of uncomfortable keeping it in my helmet
