@mikesasooner -- Gaylord Sartain was in the Ernest movies with that little fellow "Bobby" (played by Bill Byrge) Sartain was absent in those last few mediocre direct-to-video efforts, though Byrge still played Bobby. Linda Kash filled "Chuck" 's role in ERNEST GOES TO SCHOOL.

@Waterlec -- My brother and I used to do this song whenever one of us felt a fart coming on, hold it till the last line, and let go right on cue. It was pretty damn funny. Till one day he put a little too much into his performance and messed his britches up.

Loved this program. Miss it

@Wrestlegamer Of course you can be funny without being rude or crude. Frankly, I think there's a place for "rude and crude" humor as well.

This is quite possibly the best song ever written.

Shudder- how many times we would come in the house after playing outside(when kids did this) and we would moan and groan when we would here any excerpt from this program. How in the would did it stay on for so long?? Was it the guy in the gray sweater doing the news? The unhappy married couple who threw things at each other? The cornfield session with poorly written jokes? Pickin and grinnin? The guest singers?

@Wrestlegamer Oh I'd say this is pretty rude and crude, actually...but it's NICE rude and crude. :)

@903davesharonpoky thanx for the heads up. I have DISH-TV. it's channel 281. I'm sure it's probably on Direc-TV and cable outlets too because it's included in the lowest level of programming on DISH. I would suspect it no charge to the broadcaster.
We need more Hee Haw. They proved you can be funny without being rude or crude
