@TonyHickschick Yes, I definitely am, even though I spelled Allan's name wrong- I tend to always make that mistake- oops! However I would listen to "The Hollies" singing the phone book. They are that good:)
-
@Serenadesong So, you are a Hollies fan too?
-
@TonyHickschick Ah, I thought that it probably did:) I adore him and Alan Clark!
-
@Serenadesong My useername most deffiinatly refers to the one and only cutie form the Hollies. :).

@TonyHickschick Yes, Gordon was the deeper baritone, and on this song Peter was the lead. And yes, that is the Tony Hicks I am thinking of, I am not sure if your username refers to him or not, but I assumed that it did:)

@Serenadesong Thanks for the reply. I wouldn't have known it was Peter, my persoanal favorite of the two, who sang lead on this song. I assumed it was Gordon. By the way, is the Tony Hicks you are thinking of happen to be the lead guitarist of the Hollies?

@TonyHickschick The lead vocal here is Peter. Gordon usually took lead, and there are some songs where he sings entirely on his own as well, but they are probably considered "rarities"- such as this song is- in the Peter and Gordon catalog. Thanks for watching, and BTW I LOVE Tony Hicks:)

This is one of my all tme favorite songs and the first time I heard this version. It will take getting use to. Also, I believe it is the first time I heard only one voice from Peter and Gordon sing an entire song,
Is this missing a channel?Where are the usual harmonies??

@powergirl901 Usually Peter and Gordon would sing harmonies as a duo, but on occasion one of them would step forward and sing a song solo. This is an example of that, Peter is the singer here. There are also songs where Gordon sings solo, such as "As long as I have you" and "Who's loving you".
