Once I've encountered G&L guitars - i stopped loving all the others.
Check em out guys - those are awesome !

@dragonboy2992 A G&L is as good as, or better than, its Fender counterparts. As the saying goes, most of your tone comes from your hands, not your equipment.

Love the pickguard - is this an American made model? I guess the Tribute line is non American made. I hear good things about the American made G&L line and I think they are also a great value for those looking to stay American made. What is your experience so far?

Great playing & gorgeous guitar! I had a gold sparkle ASAT with P-90's and a birds eye maple neck that was gun oil tinted like yours. Great guitar; I will always miss it.

Great going, man!!! My favorite ABB solo and you nailed it. God I wish I could play like that.

This one was made at the G&L factory on Fender Ave in Fullerton, CA. It's suffered its share of abuse, falling from a trunk onto asphalt and once from shoulder height onto a wood floor. Still stays in tune forever. For a bunch of wood sewn together with bolts and glue it has stayed true.

is it good for other genres like indie and alternative??

I don't know. You'd have to put one in your hands and see how it goes with what you already have, if you get the tone you're after.

Nice playing, i was looking at one of these at a very good price as an alternative to a good quality mim tele, does it have the tele type feel, that larger than tele headstock would make it more strat like I would imagine, what do you think ??,

Phil--It's an extremely light guitar, made with swamp ash wood. I'm not an expert on what teles feel like, but it does feel "tele like" to me--thin, 7.5 radius (though comes in diff ones, and can really nail a tele snap. A little more flexibility in sound than a tele with the humbucker and the hot Leo Fender MFD pu.

Thanks for your reply. I received my ASAT Classic (Tribute) last week. Those pup's really are hot....alot of range, and they retain their character with differing volume settings. This guitar is a nice addition to my collection...and i got it off of eBay for $300 to boot. rgds, Andrew B.
