@NicosMind What the fuck are you talking about? By your logic the DPRK is a Democratic People's Republic since it's in their very name.
-
@NicosMind You know, I think your point is apt. Most people don't seem to realize that pretty much all countries in the world are part capitalist and part socialist, including the US. The post office, public schools, public roads, that's all socialism. 99% of the people who are so against socialism right now probably don't even realize that they support socialism in some form. And that's something people need to be more educated on.
-
@NicosMind It is true that there is a confusion of what is on the left or right, but people consider what is on the left or right for different reasons, when the fact of the matter is that Socialism, Communism and Capitalism have very little, if anything, to do with the atrocities of governments. We didn't need Socialism to commit genocide of Native Americans

Tommy's great.

@foxvalley560400 That's not amazing and it doesn't make Tommy look uninformed or disingenuous. Part of the human brain's strategy to protect itself is to tune things out it doesn't like. Penn is also wrong about not having a vote unless you watch the show. For example, there are alot of people that don't like Al Sharpton that, if put on the spot, would not be able to recite back what he said on a certain CNN interview. And, they don't have to watch Al all the time to have a vote.

@EuchridEucrow1 Search for The Vampire Economy. Fascism ran like a communist state does. Theres the destruction of private property and all economic activity is heavily controlled by the state. The same as communism.
I dont know why youve brought up the Tea Party(twice) as all my comments have been directed at definitions and the left right scale being faulty. But since you have. The Tea Party is for a small state, property rights and low taxes. The opposite of fascist principles
-
Hitler was a fascist, who played into naive people's fears about other cultures (like the tea party), homosexuals (like the tea party) and exploited their jingoistic notions about being the greatest country in the world (like the tea party) who were being undone from within by liberals.
Luckily for Hitler and the Tea Party there are people like yourself willing to parrot anything they read in a Conservative book or on a right wing website.

Mussolini defined fascism as the marriage of private corporate interests and government policy, which is a perfect description of what goes on in America today. So it is the opposite of Communism in the sense that under Communism there's no such thing as corporate interests.
Anarchy exists at both ends of the spectrum, there's Anarcho libertarianism and then there's Anarcho-syndicalism, which touts co-operative economics.
The guys right about the left and right thing. They both often have valid points. Touble is so very few people even know the difference between whats left and right, communist or fascist to add confusion to the whole thing.
For example. Hitler was a national socialist. Thats SOCIALIST. Gurbals and even one nut himselft said the difference between Nazism and communism was only SLIGHT. However nazism is often labeled far right while communism is labeled far left. Its crazy!
